Virtual Meeting Options during State Health Order for COVID-19

The City of Athens Historic Preservation Commission is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

Due to COVID-19 protocols, the City will be streaming the meeting online in a way to allow members of the public to listen to, observe, or  participate in the meeting. If you wish to use a phone to dial-in to listen to the meeting, you can use the phone number listed under the "Dial by your location" heading. Once you dial-in, you will need to enter the Meeting ID and Password when prompted. Long distance charges may apply.

Overview of Athens Historic Preservation Commission


The Historic Preservation Commission is responsible for governing the alteration of buildings located in historic districts.

Duties of the Historic Preservation Commission are to review Certificate of Appropriateness applications to alter or remodel historic structures within Athens historic districts.
